It is your responsiblity as a rider to know your own riding level. If you have questions please ask a cowboy or cowgirl at the barn. It is your responsibilty to sign up for the appropriate ride for your age and riding ability.
BL = Beginner Lesson - for ages 5 and up. Beginning lesson riders will learn basic riding, reining and stopping techniques.
B = Beginner Ride - for ages 7 and up. This ride is walking only.
IL = Intermediate Lesson - for ages 7 and up. Lesson riders will learn how to post when trotting. This is very important before going on the intermediate trail ride.
I = Intermediate Ride - For ages 8 and up. This ride walks and trots.
YA = Youth Advanced Ride - for ages 10 and up. This ride walks, trots and canters. Must have cowboy or cowgirl approval before riding this ride. Must be comfortable on the intermediate trail ride.
E = Experienced Ride - for ages 16 and up. Experienced riders only - meaning people who ride year round (not just at Ridin-Hy once a year) - this ride walks, trots, canters and gallops.
In order to provide our guests with the safest and most enjoyable horseback riding experience possible, Ridin-Hy will be instituting the following practices effective immediately.
- Guests will be required to fall within the acceptable limits of the attached height-to-weight ratio chart. We recognize that this chart may not fit everyone's body type. If you feel that you are physically fit enough to ride and do not fit within the acceptable limits of the chart you can ask for an individual analysis.
- Guests signing up for the "Experienced" ride, must sign up themselves.
- Guests riding on the "Experienced" ride must be able to mount the horse without assistance.
- Guests with physical or mental disabilities will be limited to Beginner lessons, in the corral.
- Guests with their ability impaired by drugs or aloohol with not be allowed to ride.
